Concrete

I build walls, bunkers and dens with concrete-soaked bed linen and pillowcase sandbags. What interests me is the domestic shelter, childhood dens and refugee camp. The concrete is used in an ephemeral way, not dissimilar to mud or shit smeared and splattered on to the fabric, left in this way it looses its strength and becomes weak and powdery. The structures contrasts the ‘feminine’ domestic materials against the ‘masculine’ building materials.
